Nature’s Paradise: A Week in Southern Thailand 7-Day

While most visitors come to Thailand for the nightlife of Bangkok, the relaxed atmosphere of Chiang Mai or the white sands of the country’s islands, there’s an entire region of Thailand that can be the most rewarding of all. For anyone who loves nature, adventure and exploring the great outdoors, southern Thailand is a treasure trove. Join Mekong Viet on a week’s journey through the mountains, rivers and jungles of southern Thailand, where nature remains mostly untouched and cultural traditions remain strong and vibrant. Your tour departs from Bangkok and heads straight for the countryside, exploring floating markets and lush orchards, as well as stopping in local villages to learn more about the rural way of life in Thailand. The next day, cruise through a vibrant marine park, then hike to Thailand’s most-photographed cave. Explore a small fishing village and venture deep into the forest to visit a hidden Buddhist temple. Continue southwards to Nakhon Si Thammarat, one of Thailand’s oldest cities and a place to learn more about southern traditions like shadow puppetry. Take a boat journey along the beautiful coast, and (if you’re lucky) catch a glimpse of the endangered pink dolphins. The next two days are spent exploring the naturals wonders of Khao Sok National Park: riding elephants, hiking through rainforest and kayaking through picture postcard scenery. Your last day will begin with a guided forest trek and end with a flight back to Bangkok.
